Southern Highlands, New South Wales
A soft Merlot with sweet cherry fruit combined with rich tannins. Matured in Hungarian oak which compliments the wine with spicy elements. This magnificent wine will please the most discerning palate.
The considered effort to make quality wine here is palpable and largely successful. With a few shifts to the cadence of picking and handling, the wines will go up another gear. In time. Great, too, to experience wines from the Southern Highlands alone, rather than from all over the shop. Classy aromas of fresh mint, damson plum, tomato bush and red cherry. The tannins, lithe and sinewy, service impressive herbal length. Savoury. Medium bodied. Ready to go. NED GOODWIN MW - JUNE 20,2022
